Villa I cocciai

Villa I Cocciai stands at the crossroads of beauty between Tuscany and Umbria. It is only a few minutes’ walk from the historic center of Cortona. From the villa, it is easy to get to several cities of art and natural wonders worth discovering, including Montepulciano (32 km), Pienza (50 km), Montalcino (67 km), Siena (76 km), Arezzo (26 km), and Florence (120 km). Culture, art, food, and wine abound in each of these locations.

A stay in Cortona means that there are myriad ways for both fun and relaxation: our Etruscan town is a “treasure chest” of picturesque locations. Within the walls of the city, you can see Luca Signorelli’s masterpieces, learn about our Etruscan history (check out the precious Tabula Cortonensis), and see works by the Futurist painter, Gino Severini. The hilltop town of Cortona is crowned by a church dedicated to Margherita, the saint of the Franciscan order who lived and worked in the town during the 1200s, to whom the people of Cortona are devoted.

By car

Take the Valdichiana exit from the A1 highway and then the Superstrada towards Perugia. After about 13 km, take the exit for Cortona. After passing through the center of Camucia, climb the hill towards the center of Cortona.
